The institution responsible for organization and administration of elections and referenda in Albania.
The challenge of the client was the inability to showcase all polling stations in one platform, the adjustment and re-structuration of polling zones. Precondition to a future digitalization of electoral process in Albania, the information gathering of these points was crucial providing information and analytical support for the Central Election Commission.
Together with our partners, we build the Electoral Map of Albania, a web application built upon a multi-layered data set of orthophotos, topographic and administrative maps of Albania. The application provides information on voting centers, voting areas and electoral administration zones, information that can easily be uploaded and adjusted in real time by the admins of Central Election Commission. The application is designed to operate with automatic generation of border maps at the village, municipality, and/or district level, subject to any changes in their respective geographical border adjustment.
